Day 8 is the last day of our trip. Shooting-wise, it’s going to be a very short day. Our flight out of Las Vegas isn’t until late morning so we have just enough time to shoot sunrise before the two hour drive to the airport. We chose to shoot Dante’s View, that we had scouted out a few days earlier, as it was on our way out of the park.
The full moon would not occur until the next day but it was showing very large on the horizon as we drove to the park. Had to stop and shoot it.

This is a detail shot of the valley floor. The parking area for Badwater is on the bottom right. The white is salt and the blue is the reflection of the blue sky. I framed this to accentuate the lines running up out of the LRC. What attracted me to the shot was the patterns in the salt.
